Surgical Triumph Over Metatarsal Osteosarcoma: A Rare Case Report Revealing Diagnostic Challenges and Successful Management

Osteosarcoma of the foot is exceedingly uncommon, and as a result, very little known about patient tumor characteristics. In addition, prognosis may be grim due to delayed presentation misdiagnosis. A diagnosis osteosarcoma, regardless location, not only reduce long-term survival but also modify treatment plan, resulting in less favorable functional cosmetic outcomes. Here we report diagnostic therapeutic challenges associated with chondroblastic osteosarcoma involving metatarsal bone 47-year-old woman treated wide local excision right second metatarsectomy non-vascularized fibular graft reconstruction along adjuvant chemotherapy.
